The CIS ATC’s delegation led by the Center’s First Deputy Head Mr. Sabyrzhan Ungarbayev took part in the V International Conference on Combating Extremist Ideology organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on September 17-18, 2025 in Moscow.
The event was attended by representatives of more than 40 foreign countries, international organizations (UN, SCO RATS, CSTO, BKBOP), heads of governmental agencies, employees of educational organizations.
The conference discussed the problems of terrorist and extremist use of modern information and communication technologies and coordination of joint activities in countering extremism.
In his statement Mr. Ungarbayev focused on the increasing terrorist threats in the CIS countries associated with wider propaganda of terrorist ideas on the Internet and shared some aspects of the CIS ATC’s work.
