CIS ATC and MSLU hold an International Scientific-Practical Conference on "Formation of an Architecture of Equal and Indivisible Security in the Eurasian Space: Challenges, Prospects, Projects"

Moscow hosted the International Scientific-Practical Conference on "Formation of an Architecture of Equal and Indivisible Security in the Eurasian Space: Challenges, Prospects, Projects", organized by the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center and Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU) on September 24-26, 2025.

The event was attended by representatives of national anti-terrorist structures, executive authorities, academia and educational institutions from eight CIS member-states: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as international organizations (RATS SCO, CSTO Secretariat, CSTO PA, BKBOP, CIS-FIU, KSGP, KS SKPV).

The conference was opened by the MSLU rector Irina Kraeva and CIS ATC Head Evgeny Sysoev who noted the increasing role of scientific support for anti-terrorist activities in improving the effectiveness of practical work.

More than 100 participants spoke at the event and shared assessments of the security situation in the Eurasian space and forecasts of its development, as well as various aspects of countering the radicalization of the population in the digital communication environment and information warfare.

A separate session of the conference was devoted to topical issues of countering terrorism and extremism amid the transforming world order. The session offered an opportunity for an interested exchange of views, including on priority areas for convergence of national legislations of the CIS states in the subject area.

The meeting participants highlighted the importance of combined efforts of the academia and relevant international organizations in preventing terrorism and extremism, strengthening ties between universities and anti-terrorist structures of the Commonwealth countries.
