The chief legal officer of the CIS ATC took part in a special meeting of the Expert Advisory Council under the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council on "Security Umbrella of Eurasian Integration", which was held within the framework of the XIII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum in St. Petersburg on May 20, 2025.
The event was attended by delegates of national parliaments, representatives of international structures (CIS, SCO, EAEU), public authorities, civil society institutions, experts from scientific and educational organizations of the CSTO member-states.
At the meeting, the participants reviewed protection of electoral sovereignty, counteraction to any forms of foreign interference into the domestic affairs of sovereign states, migration security, and touched upon anti-terrorist and anti-extremist issues.
In his statement the CIS ATC’s representative recommended to consider the legal mechanisms, which have proven themselves positively in the course of improving and reforming the CIS legal framework, in the CSTO legal acts, and to draw attention to the problems of radicalization of citizens, especially young people.
