A meeting was held between the Head of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS member states Colonel General Evgeny Sysoev and First Deputy Chair of the State Committee for National Security - Director of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Major General Abdikarim Alimbaev at the CIS ATC’s headquarters on May 27, 2025.
During the meeting, the Parties assessed the organization and state of interaction between the CIS ATC and the Border Service of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The executives additionally noted the high intensity of information exchange, joint work within the framework of the CIS anti-terrorist exercises aimed to master prevention of cross-border movement of terrorist fighters, as well as interaction in interstate search for wanted through the use of the ATC’s database by border agencies that allows for the detention of persons involved in terrorist and extremist activities. In conclusion, the heads of the delegations expressed confidence in the further progressive development of interaction and the build-up of collective efforts in the Commonwealth.
