The First Deputy Head of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center Zhanat Saipoldayev attended in the 29th meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Authorities of the CIS Member-States, held in Baku on March 22, 2025.
The event brought together delegations of the migration authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the Council of Heads of CIS Financial Intelligence Units, as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission and the General Confederation of Trade Unions.
The participants reviewed the situation in the Commonwealth countries and the state of cooperation with international organizations in the field of migration. Experience of the migration authorities of the CIS member-states in priority areas of activity was also shared.
The First Deputy Head of the Center informed the Council members about development of the situation in countering terrorism and extremism in the Commonwealth, particularly noting the threats and risks associated with migration processes.
