The CIS ATC’s delegation led by its Head Evgeny Sysoev took part in the 30th meeting of the Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units of the Commonwealth of Independent States (FIU-CIS) in Moscow on May 27, 2025.
The event was attended by representatives of the financial intelligence units of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan
and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee, the Bureau for the Coordination of Fight against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crimes in the Territory of the CIS Member-States, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigation Bodies of the CIS Member-States.
The meeting summed up the results of the FIU-CIS activities in 2024 and discussed cooperation of financial intelligence units with law enforcement agencies, special services and military formations.
The Head of the Center informed the members of the Council about the situation in the CT field in the Commonwealth, as well as the organization and state of interaction between the CIS ATC and the FIU-CIS.
The most productive is cooperation in interstate search for wanted terrorists and extremists carried out as part of international operation "Barrier", Evgeny Sysoev noted. The Center renders information support for the operation using the capacities of the CIS ATC’s databank. Thus, the Center’s information allowed for identification of almost 1000 wanted persons the Center for the entire period of the operation (from 2015 todate).
