A representative of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center took part in the 28th meeting of the Coordination Council of the Heads of Competent Authorities of the CSTO Member-States on Combating Illegal Migration held in Bishkek on August 28, 2025.
The event was attended by representatives of the migration authorities of the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the CSTO Secretariat.
The meeting reviewed the results of the first stage of the CSTO regional operation "Illegal" in 2025, and interaction between migration and border authorities in implementing migration control.
The Center’s representative spoke on the situation in countering terrorism and extremism in the CIS area and noted the importance of interstate cooperation in the fight against illegal migration in order to prevent the penetration of members of international terrorist organizations into the territories of the CIS and CSTO states.
