CIS ATC participates in the round table on "Advanced studies by scientific and educational organizations of the CIS member-states on deradicalization of persons who have fallen under the influence of extremist and terrorist ideas"

 

Representatives of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center took part in the round table on "Advanced studies by scientific and educational organizations of the CIS member-states on deradicalization of persons who have fallen under the influence of extremist and terrorist ideas", organized by the Basic Organization of the CIS Member-States for the Study of Problems of Countering Terrorism and Other Manifestations of Extremism at the Russian State Humanitarian University, Moscow on June 4, 2025.

The event was attended by representatives of scientific and educational organizations of the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Federal Agency for Nationalities, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the National Center for Information Counteraction to Terrorism and Extremism in the Educational Environment and the Internet, and the CIS IPA.

The round table discussed:

best practices and results of research into the problems of deradicalization of vulnerable categories of citizens, including persons serving sentences for terrorist and extremist crimes;

methodological support for activities to deradicalize persons who have fallen under the influence of extremist and terrorist ideas;

diagnostics of the state of radicalization of the population and protest activity in the Russian Federation;

methodology for assessing the risks of radicalization among adolescents and young people.

Representatives of the CIS ATC presented reports on the "Legal Foundations for Deradicalization of Adherents of Terrorist and Extremist Ideas in the CIS Member-States" and "Organization of Deradicalization Activites: Theoretical and Methodological Approaches."
